Making a Difference

With the help of your donation, we are funding programs that are helping kids, families, and educators recognize the early signs of mental health issues and substance use disorders in our young people.

Previous Grants from the Connor Fund

Bethel Public Schools

In December of 2021, The Connor Fund granted $7,700 to the Bethel, CT Public Schools to fund the training of two staff members for a new program, Youth Mental Health First Aid.

NAMI NYC Metro

“Ending the Silence” is a presentation designed by The New York City chapter of NAMI (The National Alliance on Mental Illness) for middle and high school students, school staff, and parents or guardians of middle or high school aged youth. Learn about the signs and symptoms of mental health conditions, how to recognize the early warning signs, and the importance of acknowledging those warning signs.

Working with schools

The Connor Fund is working with school systems in Fairfield County, Connecticut to bring the “Ending the Silence” program to even more students. We are also funding the training of staff and faculty for a program called ‘teen Mental Health First Aid.’ Learn more here.

We will be having more updates on these initiatives very soon, including which school districts we are working with. It is our hope that we can spread these initiatives beyond the New York Metro area and across the country in the near future.

It all begins with you. Your donation can help make a difference.
